Our mission is to provide more people with convenient access to licensed therapists who can help those in need live a happier and healthier life.
We are not trying to replace in-office therapy. Many people prefer that, which is fine. We created OnlineCounseling.org so more people could benefit from therapy and overcome their day-to-day challenges in a stigma-free environment.
Talking to a therapist can be very helpful to deal with issues you are struggling with. You will get unbiased feedback to help you overcome your struggles, find clarity, and sort through your thoughts and feelings to help you live a better life. OnlineCounseling allows you to speak to a therapist through the use to video.
Our therapists are very good at what they do. We have helped people with the following issues:
The therapist you will work with will be licensed in your US state of residence. Once you choose your state you will be shown which therapists that you can choose from.
Yes, our therapists are fully licensed by their state board.
Our team ensures that every provider we bring to the platform is fully licensed and in good standing. Providers who apply are required to provide proper licensure documentation and proof of identity. We then cross-check their licensure information with their respective state licensing board
OnlineCounseling offers video counseling sessions one at a time. An individual session is $150 (50 minutes) and a couple's session is $225 (75 minutes). You pay after the session has ended. You are required to put a credit card on file when you schedule your appointment. Your card will be run after the session has ended. You can schedule one session or as many as you like.
Much like traditional face to face therapy, Video sessions with OnlineCounseling last 50 minutes.
When someone decides to see a therapist many people go weekly at first until they get a handle on what it is they are going to therapy for. Many people may choose to scale it back to once every 2 weeks until they are ready to stop. You can always reengage your therapist at any time should you decide to stop.
It takes some time and several sessions for many people to begin to integrate in their life some of the changes and new insights that are gained through counseling. It is advised to stay in therapy for a time until you feel stable with the solutions and new found awareness.
There is a 24hr cancelation policy. If you therapist is not notified within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment then you will be responsible for the full amount of the session. We ask this out of respect for the therapist time. Many people need therapy and if you make an appointment someone else could not see our provider at that time.
The mental health professionals with OnlineCousneling are licensed and credentialed therapists who are certified by their state's board to provide therapy and counseling. Telehealth is platform to deliver traction therapy via means of video. Therapy and counseling provided via video can be just as effective and some even report more benefits such as convenience and less intimidating than walking into a therapist office.
Many people report feeling better just after the first session and continue to improve with each session. They have found it very help just to talk to someone else about their problems in a stigma free safe environment.
The OnlineCounseling platform is as close to traditional therapy as you can get. You schedule a live video appointment as needed and pay for the appointment after services. While other platforms use a subscription and offer messaging. OnlineCounseling does not offer a monthly subscription or messaging your therapist. We believe at OnlineCounseling that people don't always use their monthly subscription and therefore end up wasting their resources. We believe a pay for services that you use is a better use of your valuable recourses.
We believe at OnlineCounseling the ability to message your therapist at any time may create dependency on your therapist for a healthy lifestyle. Our therapists at OnlineCounseling are trying to help you become a healthy independent and whole individual and find that seeing your therapist as needed is a better way to support that goal.
